8 Vies pour la planète is a non-profit association (loi 1901) that promotes innovation in the service of the environment and sustainable development, based in Saint-Chamas, France.
Since 2018, we have been developing technical, artistic, playful and participatory projects aimed at helping rebuild biodiversity, raising public awareness of environmental preservation, and encouraging more sustainable consumption habits. The association designs and runs many educational workshops for a wide audience, particularly young people.
Through our workshops, we raise awareness allowing everyone to deepen their knowledge of biodiversity, the history and functioning of the Berre lagoon, air and water quality, plastics and recycling (among other topics) while having fun...
Our "L'étang de s'y mettre" project brings together our environmental actions around the Berre lagoon, in favour of marine biodiversity: seagrass replanting, waste collection and plastic pollution removal, a public fablab and the creation of 2 laboratories...
The Café Vélo in Saint-Chamas is a 50m² workshop equipped with numerous repair and manufacturing tools for small mechanics. We run 2 mechanical workshops per week, on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 10am to 12pm, under the covered area of the Associations House in Saint-Chamas.
