During these innovative workshops, participants bring broken appliances and learn to repair everyday devices themselves. An electronics engineer specialising in repair supervises the session and guides repairers and the public in fault-finding.
The format we offer today begins with one hour of training on the basic principles of repair. Each person is then guided through troubleshooting the appliance they brought. Fault findings are shared with the rest of the group. Quiz-style question-and-answer games are sometimes offered. These light-hearted, educational games moments are another way to build connections within the group while learning new concepts.
Our workshops include awareness of electrical safety risks so that every participant knows the basic rules for repairing safely. Repair stations are arranged to ensure no risk is taken by repairers or users.
We develop this type of workshop following the same model as the electrical repair workshop, with a training/learning session, typical faults to diagnose, collaborative repair and games.
Workshops offered only in the towns of Miramas and Berre-l'Etang.
The Réparagame is an escape game that teaches repair. It places participants in a scenario centred on a broken DVD player. Players have 1 hour to retrieve the DVD trapped inside the player.
The game encourages participants to acquire basic repair knowledge, become familiar with tools commonly needed to solve typical faults, and learn to use a multimeter.
