A mini solar oven building workshop
Using cutting, folding and gluing aluminium foil. Participants melt white chocolate and dark chocolate on bread. They discover the principle of light absorption and have to guess which chocolate will melt first.
The workshop introduces renewable energies and lets everyone build a mini solar oven and test it. This workshop also comes with a "solar oven cooking" option, allowing participants to cook a dish alongside the workshop using a large solar oven (see photo).
The bike can be connected to a fruit and vegetable juicer. We can thus make juices and cocktails by pedalling without using any electrical energy. The bike can also be connected to a scroll saw, making it possible to cut wood and create small objects.
The generator bike produces electrical energy through pedalling. A display shows the number of watts generated. The power output can then be compared to various everyday electrical appliances.
The user realises the effort required depending on the power generated. The public becomes aware of our high electricity consumption and the possible alternatives. The generator bike can power different electrical devices. For example, a string of lights wound from the base to the top of a Christmas tree lights up thanks to the generator bike: the harder you pedal, the higher the light climbs!
